Your privacy matters to us. Please read this policy to understand how we handle your information.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Vijay Shree Jewellers (“we”, “us”, “our”), No. 20-E, Gandhi Road, opposite CMC Hospital, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India, handles personal information when you use our website at vijayshreejewellers.in, contact us, or place an order request with us.

This policy is also intended to apply to the Vijay Shree Jewellers mobile application(s), where they are made available.

Before submitting this URL to Google Play or the Apple App Store, confirm that the mobile app collects no information beyond what is described here. If the app uses accounts, push notifications, location, camera, analytics, crash reporting, advertising or any third-party SDK, those must be added to this policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you use the checkout or contact form, you may provide:

  • your name and mobile number;
  • your email address (optional);
  • your delivery address, city and PIN code, if you request delivery;
  • the products and quantities in your order request, and any notes you add;
  • the content of any message you send us.

We also receive information you share with us by phone, on WhatsApp or in our store.

Gold Saving Scheme members

If you enrol in our Gold Saving Scheme, we collect the details needed to open and manage your scheme account, including your name, mobile number, address, identity and KYC documents (for example Aadhaar, PAN or other officially valid documents), nominee details if applicable, and a record of your instalment payments and redemption. A PAN copy may be required at redemption where the law requires it.

Confirm exactly which KYC documents and nominee details are collected for the scheme, and whether copies are kept on paper, digitally, or both.

How the website forms work

Our website does not have customer accounts and does not store the details you type into the checkout or contact form on our servers. When you submit these forms, the website prepares a message in WhatsApp on your device, addressed to our store. Your information is sent to us only if you choose to press Send in WhatsApp.

Information stored on your device

Your basket and wishlist are saved in your browser’s local storage on your own device so they are still there when you return. This information is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

Technical information

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time of the request, for security and operational purposes. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers.

Name the hosting provider and confirm how long its server logs are kept.

3. Why we use your information

We use the information you send us to:

  • respond to your enquiries;
  • process your order request, confirm availability and price, and arrange payment, pickup or delivery;
  • enrol you in and administer the Gold Saving Scheme, record your instalments, verify your identity (KYC) and process redemption;
  • contact you about your order;
  • keep business, billing and tax records as required by law;
  • protect our website, customers and business against fraud and misuse.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making.

Confirm whether customer phone numbers will be used for marketing messages (for example, new collections or festive offers). If so, describe this here and explain how customers can opt out.

4. How information is shared

We share personal information only where needed for the purposes above:

  • WhatsApp (Meta): messages you send us through WhatsApp are carried and processed by WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Delivery partners: if you request delivery, we share your name, phone number and address with the courier or delivery service handling your order.
  • Payment providers and banks: if you pay by a bank transfer, UPI, card or other payment method, the relevant payment provider processes your payment details under its own terms.
  • Service providers: such as our website hosting provider.
  • Legal requirements: where we are required to by law, by a court or by a government authority, or to protect our legal rights.
List the delivery partner(s) and payment method(s) actually used, and confirm the statement “We do not sell your personal information” before adding it.

5. Cookies, analytics and tracking

Our website does not currently set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking tools. It uses your browser’s local storage only for your basket and wishlist, as described above.

Links to WhatsApp and Google Maps take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

If we add analytics or similar tools in future, we will update this policy first.

6. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold, including limiting access to the staff who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Describe where order records are kept (for example, WhatsApp Business on store phones, billing software, paper registers) and who can access them.

7. Retention and deletion
